The OBCM Newsletter is the authorized means of communication for the OBCM. It is published monthly and is used primarily to inform the faith community of the New Orleans Archdiocese about local, national, and regional spiritual and social matters that are of particular interest and importance to Black Catholics and to Catholics in general.
“Relentless” Women’s Conference
The Women’s Conference, scheduled to take place December 6, 2008, is an event that every female needs to mark on her calendar. Something for all ages, this conference affirms that there is a relentless spirit given to a woman when she is situated in holiness. All of the ladies ages 14 and up are invited to help with the planning of this event. If you are interested in being a working member of the committee, please contact the OBCM.

Voter Registration
Non-Partisan Voter Registration Weekend September 6-7, 2008
Bishop Morin and the Administrative Council have approved a non-partisan Voter Registration drive for the weekend of September 6-7, 2008. The Office of Justice and Peace, along with the Archdiocesan Respect Life Office, has prepared a packet of information to assist parishes and ministries of the Archdiocese in working together to ensure the success of this non-partisan Voter Registration Drive.
